Clémence Marty-Chastan
General Director in charge of Resources at ARTE France and a member of the ARTE France Executive Board
A graduate of HEC and a former student of ENA, Clémence Marty-Chastan began her career as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where she led several strategic projects in the media sector, notably for Canal+ and Universal Music Group. From 2008 to 2011, she worked within the French Prime Minister’s Office and then at the Ministry of Culture as a project manager and subsequently as deputy head of the Public Audiovisual Sector Office, overseeing the strategic and budgetary supervision of ARTE France, France Médias Monde and TV5 Monde, as well as representing the State on their governing bodies. She then joined the Agence des participations de l’État (2011–2013).
In her capacity as a social affairs inspector from 2016, Clémence Marty-Chastan led evaluation and transformation projects, in the health sector in particular, and was subsequently appointed Director of Strategy and Transformation at the AP-HP Hospital Trust (2019–2023), where she oversaw the implementation of the institutional development plan, digital transformation and the design of the institutional decarbonisation plan.
As a recipient of the Commonwealth Fund’s Harkness Fellowship at the University of California (2023–2024), she conducted research into the clinical decarbonisation of US hospitals. She teaches at HEC Paris and on the internal preparation programme for the EN3S entrance examination.
