As a public service broadcaster, ARTE has a special responsibility towards society. Our programmes offer reliable information and reflect Europe’s cultural diversity. ARTE also strives to set an example in its day-to-day activities in terms of reducing its environmental footprint, strengthening its social commitment and adopting responsible governance practices.
Environment – reducing our impact
From the outset, ARTE has always placed respect for the environment at the heart of its values. Whether in terms of production, distribution or operations, we are constantly striving to reduce our environmental footprint while offering the best possible viewing experience.
Social – dialogue and inclusion
ARTE promotes European humanist values. We constantly strive to improve gender equality and diversity across the entire recruitment process, including at management level and in programme production. We are committed to combating all forms of discrimination and promoting a working environment in which quality of life is the main priority.
Governance – vigilance and transparency
ARTE, which is 95 % publicly funded, has a duty to be a model of excellence when it comes to governance. Being close to our audiences, transparent in our approach and ethically demanding – these are the guiding principles that underpin everything we do.
